About Ellie
Redroofs School for the Performing Arts is Ellie’s family business, founded by her grandmother in 1947, and has been nurturing young performers for generations.
Ellie is Head of Musical Theatre and a specialist LAMDA Musical Theatre teacher at Redroofs School for the Performing Arts, where she has taught children for over 20 years. Ellie also tutors pupils in various Independent Schools and offers daytime tuition for home-schooled children, providing engaging, confidence-building coaching tailored to each student.
Her professional performance credits include Annie UK Tour, the Harry Potter feature films and The Wind in the Willows (National Theatre), alongside numerous TV and commercial appearances. Ellie has coached many young performers who have gone on to appear in major productions including Matilda, Annie, The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins in the West End and on international tours.
Her LAMDA students consistently achieve outstanding examination results, with a 100% success rate and over 150 Distinctions. Ellie is an experienced production coordinator and children’s choreographer, producing work at venues such as the Disneyland Paris Main Stage & Pre Parade, The Shaw Theatre (West End), The Wycombe Swan Theatre. She is a Trustee of Rosie’s Rainbow Fund children’s charity.
